About the Item
A masterpiece from the dawn of the Art Deco era, this extraordinary ring unites a radiant .65-carat emerald of luminous, electric green intensity with a sparkling constellation of antique-cut diamonds. The central emerald—alive with near-neon brilliance—is surrounded by a graceful geometric framework of old mine and single-cut diamonds totaling approximately .85 carat. This may not be the largest emerald I have ever offered, but it is indisputably among the very finest. This amazing ring is suitable for anyone of any gender.
Each diamond was individually set by hand into a platinum top that captures and amplifies every flicker of light, while the softly contoured shank, crafted in rich 18K yellow gold, adds a warm counterpoint to the cool metallic glow above. The resulting interplay of hue and brilliance evokes the glamour and optimism of the 1910s transitional period between Edwardian delicacy and the bold modernism that would define the Deco movement.
Entirely hand-fabricated, this ring is a rare survivor from an age when fine jewelry was an art form unto itself. Currently a size 9.5, it can be easily resized by an expert jeweler.
