In an Art Deco Inspired Triple-Row Pave design, this Alexandrite Diamond Ring features a square cornered shank, designed to keep the Solitaire elevated on the center of the finger, as well as structured for comfort to avoid the ring from turning on the finger - a characteristic of European jewelry, as opposed to American pieces. With a central Oval cut 1.50 carat Alexandrite at 8mm x 6.8mm, securely set in an 8-Prong setting. Few inclusions coming up to the surface (a.k.a. Striation) .. [Not any kind of damage to the stone, simply a characteristic of earth-mined Gemstones] .. Surrounded by a total of 42 (6 rows of 7 – 3 rows on each side) Bead set Colorless Nearly Flawless Round Brilliant cut Accent Diamonds totaling 0.52 carats ranking an F Color VVS1-VVS2 Clarity with bright cut tooling .. [becoming a lost art with goldsmiths today, this was towards the end of the era of bright cut tooling] .. The overall construction truly exhibits the highly detailed goldsmith’s talent with diamonds visible from every angle due to the manner of setting. Alexandrite is also used as the birthstone for those born in the month of June as of the late 1950s, along with Pearl Moonstone, although Alexandrite ranks the most precious of the three.
