About the Item
An Art Deco, ruby, diamond, and platinum ring, comprising eighteen French cut rubies, twenty-one old vari cut diamonds, set in platinum, to a band of platinum.
This ring is set to the centre with lozenge shaped panel of rubies and diamonds. The rubies and diamonds are arranged in 5 rows, adding to the classic Art Deco design, with geometric, symmetrical formation. At the centre of the lozenge is a line of sparkling old cut diamonds, of mixed cuts. The 11 diamonds are bright, white, and sparkly, and are well matched with one another. Above and below, are rows of vibrant red rubies, of calibre French cut, most of which are square in shape, aside from the end rubies, which are more triangular. Another row of old cut diamonds at the top and bottom completes this stunning, striking ring. Elegant, but still impactful, and beautifully designed - a classic piece of exceptionally crafted French jewellery. The split shoulders of the ring, lead to a reeded band of platinum. The ring is in great condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The head of the ring measures 7mm high, and 14mm wide. The band measures just over 1mm wide at the back.
