Antique Vintage GIA 4..45ctw OLD EUROPEAN Diamond Platinum Edwardian Ring.
Edwardian Rings represent some of the finest examples of diamond, platinum jewelry in existence. Edwardian Diamond jewels were made to look as light and delicate as possible, reflecting the femininity of the Edwardian lady and complimenting the ethereal fashions of the time.
This breathtakingly beautiful Edwardian dazzler features a gorgeous 4.17ct carat Old European-cut M color SI1 clarity (the diamond is very light yellow under a powerful diamond grading light with a 10x loupe and faces up very well and looks warm white in natural light, no obvious imperfections to the naked eye ) diamond enveloped in a sparkling platinum and diamond dome, GIA certified. These Old Euro Rounds are so magical! The facets are large, chunky and beautiful and the brilliance is tantalizing.
The magnificent Bombe shaped ring sparkles on all sides with an additional 8 old european cut diamonds J color, VS clarity sides, totaling to estimated 0.28ct diamonds adorned with decorative hand piercing, and delicate milgrain details.
The total weight of the diamonds is 4.45ct.
The band tappers from 5.65mm to 1.32mm on the bottom, sits 6.45 mm high from the top of the finger
The weight of Platinum is 4.64grams. Finger size 6 1/2, can be re-sized.
Condition and Hallmark: Crafted in Platinum (stamped).
Overall light wear commensurate with age and use. All diamonds are in great condition, no visible chips. The setting has wonderful open work, as each surrounding diamond has beautiful mil-grained edges, and a soft carved design down the shank, newly rendered in platinum recreating the design and using all of the diamonds from the original (but worn out) ring. Center diamond is in good condition with no visible bruising/chipping to the girdle. All wear would be consistent with age and use. This ring has been professionally cleaned is ready for immediate wear!
