About the Item
This classic and substantial jade saddle ring features a vivid, highly translucent cabochon of certified untreated emerald green Burmese jadeite jade that is cut into the rectangular "saddle" shape you see here. The saddle ring is perhaps the most quintessential jade ring. This one is unusual, however, for its exceptionally fine stone. The 14k yellow gold mounting holds three small but very white and clean diamonds on each shoulder for an emphatic sparkle that doesn't overwhelm.
Measuring approximately 15.6mm x 8.0mm, the jade cabochon is a luminous, glowing gem that appears bright apple green in the sunlight and a darker, more "imperial" green in lower light. The jade has a high polish that makes the stone appear wet. The rear of the ring shank beneath the jade is open, allowing light to flood through the stone, showcasing its beautiful natural grain. The interior of the shank is marked 14K and is engraved with an unidentified logo. This is a weighty and substantial ring. It has never been worn but I cannot say for sure when it was made; probably after 2010.
Currently a size 8 ¾, this ring could be resized by your local jeweler. It ships with a certificate from Mason Kay stating that the jade is untreated "A" type jade.
