About the Item
This five stone ring has 3 beautifully deep blue sapphires, complimented by two lovely old cut diamonds. The sapphires have a combined weight of 1.85 carat, and the diamonds 1.20 carat. In between each stone, you also have two rose cuts diamonds, which weight 0.01 carat each. This highlights the beauty of the centre stones and really brings out the hue of the sapphires.
The stones are claw set, with the diamonds held in place by platinum rather than 18 carat yellow gold. The wonderful handcrafted shank is made of yellow gold, as well as the band. This was typical of the 1900s as platinum allowed the diamonds to truly shine.
