About the Item
This 1.40-carat pear-cut Tanzanian teal sapphire has remarkable color depth, shifting between blue and green depending on the light and angle. The saturation is strong without being dark, letting light move through the stone and reveal its complexity. Unheated and natural, this is the color it formed with.
Two pear-shaped white diamonds (0.15 carats total) flank the sapphire, their points facing outward. The three pear shapes create a balanced composition, with the bright side stones drawing out the teal center by contrast.
At Ursula Rickmers Jewelry, we set this ring in 18k white gold. The band has a knife-edge profile that tapers toward the setting, giving it a clean, modern line. Four prongs secure the sapphire while the side diamonds are set with three prongs each. The cool tone of the white gold lets the teal of the sapphire read clearly without any warmth pulling against it.
The ring is handcrafted in our Istanbul atelier, steps from the Grand Bazaar, where jewelers have been refining their craft for centuries.
