About the Item
An absolutely fabulous buckle ring from the Retro (ca1940s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow and white gold, this wide ring wraps around the finger, fastening with a stunning 3-dimensional "buckle" at the center. The band is comprised of smoothly polished mesh-like links that connect together to form a flexible "strap", which wraps comfortably around the finger. The chevron-shaped end of the strap as well as the "prong" feature small bead-set rose cut diamonds and milgrain detailing, which further adds to the unique appeal of the piece. The pointed tongue of the adjustable ring slides within the loop of the buckle, where 5 hidden notches on the underside allow the single gold tooth to be secured. The gorgeous buckle acts as a safety clasp, and is pushed down over the strap to securely fasten it into place. The top and bottom of the prong feature two small figure eight safety mechanisms, which provide extra security. The combination of the smoothly polished yellow gold links next to the diamonds makes for a fabulous statement piece when worn. An incredible piece with a strong Retro look, it would make a spectacular addition to any collection!
Measurement: The ring has a length of just under 3" and a surface width of just over 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the small diamonds are secure and intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
