About the Item
This 2.64-carat salt-and-pepper diamond sits in a full bezel setting, the 18k yellow gold wrapping around the stone's circumference. The diamond has a gray, translucent body with inclusions scattered throughout like flecks of cloud. It's the kind of stone you find yourself staring into.
The band has real substance to it. A knife-edge profile tapers toward the setting, and six round diamonds (0.12 carats total) are channel-set into the shoulders, three on each side. From the side, an open gallery beneath the bezel reveals the ring's architecture, with cutouts that allow light to reach the stone from below. The overall effect is decidedly Art Deco.
At Ursula Rickmers Jewelry, we chose a bezel setting here for both aesthetic and practical reasons. It protects the edges of the diamond while creating a clean, uninterrupted frame around the stone. The warm yellow gold against the cool gray of the diamond feels intentional.
The ring is handcrafted in our Istanbul atelier, steps from the Grand Bazaar, where jewelers have been refining their craft for centuries.
Like a fingerprint, the internal pattern of this salt-and-pepper diamond belongs to this stone alone. Whether worn as an alternative engagement ring or simply because it spoke to you, this Art Deco bezel ring carries weight in every sense.
