About the Item
This 1.21-carat shield-cut salt-and-pepper diamond has a distinctive silhouette, wider at the top and tapering to a point. The stone carries gray tones with darker inclusions concentrated toward the center, giving it that galactic depth where you can lose yourself looking in.
The band is where this ring takes an unexpected turn. From the side view, the 18k white gold has an angular, almost geometric profile with flat faceted edges rather than a traditional round shape. It gives the ring an architectural quality that echoes the angles of the shield cut above it.
At Ursula Rickmers Jewelry, we secured the diamond with three prongs, one at each of the upper corners and one at the bottom point. The setting keeps the stone close to the band while letting light enter from beneath.
The ring is handcrafted in our Istanbul atelier, steps from the Grand Bazaar, where jewelers have been refining their craft for centuries.
