This distinctive ring brings together two antique treasures to create a jewel of enduring beauty. The face of the ring, originally an antique stickpin head (circa 1910), features a mystical gray star sapphire framed by a halo of glittering diamonds. The sapphire’s natural asterism lends the gem an ethereal quality, highly prized among collectors. The top is mounted in 14k yellow gold, while the band—repurposed from a 1920s diamond band—is finely crafted in platinum, adding both strength and sophistication.
The face of the ring measures 0.4 inches in diameter. The gold and platinum components have been verified using XRF (x-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, ensuring authenticity and purity.
Currently a size 7, the ring can be resized for an additional charge. It is in good condition, with light surface wear to the sapphire consistent with age and use.
