About the Item
This Victorian era five stone ring was handmade in 18 carat yellow gold around 1890. The ring centres an old cut diamond between two similarly-sized, oval-shaped natural royal blue sapphires which total to 0.40 carats, and a slightly smaller diamond at each shoulder. The diamonds also total 0.45 carat in weight and are estimated to be H in colour and SI in clarity. This late nineteenth century antique ring was designed and handmade in the style of the day with a horizontal row of curving fluted claws tapering to a solid shank.
