About the Item
A vintage diamond cross-over ring, the old-cut diamonds weighing 0.38 carats and 0.35 carats, assessed to be of H-I colour and VS clarity, claw-set in platinum collets to yellow gold shank, circa 1950, later hallmarked 18ct gold, London, measuring 2.1 x 0.5cm, finger size O½, gross weight 3.1 grams.
This vintage ring is in very good condition for its age. Later hallmarked by Bentley

This attractive vintage ring features two old-cut diamonds, and is offered for sale at Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. The yellow gold shank of the ring appears almost fluid, as if mid-movement, delicately coiling around the diamonds positioned either side of each other. Following on from the war, there was a deep-rooted desire to return to luxury, and many jewellery styles at the time were influenced by the popularized feminine and curvaceous silhouette. This ring reflects this wonderfully.
