About the Item
A vintage jade and diamond engagement ring in platinum, circa 1950.
This ring features a central marquise shaped cabochon of 'imperial green coloured' jadeite, claw set in platinum within a pair of bezel set trapezoid diamonds. Plain polished platinum shoulder gently taper inwards towards the reverse of the band.
This is a wonderfully wearable and versatile ring, due to its curved cabochon centre stone and its low setting on the finger.
Components: Jadeite
Diamonds: 0.30 carats estimated as H/I colour VS2 clarity
The ring is currently a UK finger size M (USA size 6.5) but this can be resized for a perfect fit.
Condition Overall the condition of the ring is very good, with some slight abrasions to the surface of the platinum and jadeite in keeping with its general age.
