Helky Juvonen
Helky Juvonen interpreted the nature of Lapland through jewelery. The most famous series "Outa" behind the idea of Outa jewelry was Juvonen's many years of experience and observation with constant hikes in Lapland.
He was interested in the wrapped tree in the nature of Lapland.
It has been said that in the Outa series, Juvonen achieved a description of the realistic naturalism of Lapland's nature.
Helky Juvonen has become known for the jewelry he designed for Kultakeskus Oy. The Outa series, which has a rough surface and imitates the shapes of nature, was born in 1971, and the similar Helky series in 1975. The jewelry was made of both gold and silver. Each piece of jewelry had its own name. Outa jewelry is also manufactured by Westerback Oy in Helsinki.
Helky Juvonen has studied stone grinding and has also designed jewelry from stone. There are pictures of Helky Juvonen's jewelry in the collections of the Finnish Design Museum, but no jewelry.
