I design jewelry that draws an audience. Jewelry that does more than catch your eye; it tells your story of self-expression. It is unique, yet relatable; elegant, yet warm. Audience and the story have always been important in my work. I began in textile and costume design, where my work contributed to the story. For my costume work, I did research into many periods of design, which expanded my knowledge of historical design. As a textile designer, working with Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and others, my designs were part of their vision. My formal training was in the fine arts, and later included studies at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Through working in various mediums, I developed an appreciation for the principles of color, form and placement. Today, I design original interpretations of classical forms with modern sensibilities for those who appreciate originality and beauty. My pieces start with a series of sketches that take shape as I draw, working until the design emerges. It is a disciplined method that brings my skills together in a creative way. I never tire of learning and each collection presents new challenges. I am continually inspired to design for those who wear my pieces. I make each piece by hand, rendered in precious metals and custom cut stones. They are visually exciting with a bit of drama to express your individual style. I create what you can wear today, but also pass down for generations.
