About the Item
Part of Kirsten’s Corner Signature Collection, this 18k gold and Old European cut diamond ring is a contemporary variation of a Victorian ring. The overall shape was taken from the antique version, but the design was made more fluid with the addition of a few contemporary details. A platinum border was precision fit to outline the diamond for a delicate detail that sets the diamond apart from the gold, with the white of the platinum enhancing the bright of the diamond. The 18k gold has a high polish finish that looks lovely against the sparkling facets of the diamond. True to the original piece, the ring has a slight flare to it, making it a wider, curvier version of a gypsy ring.
The Old European cut diamond is stunning. Each Old European diamond has its own individual qualities to it as each stone was hand cut—the beautiful tell tale large facets make the stone sparkly and unique. The diamond is .78 of a carat and measures 5.68 x 3.92. It is K in color and SI1 in clarity. The diamond was sent to GIA before being set into the ring, and it comes with GIA report #6227458569.
The ring weighs 10.42 grams. It is a size 7.25 and could be sized up or down.
