About the Item
This is an extraordinary 1925 Art Deco Red Coral, Black Jade, and Diamond ring in Platinum.
We titled this ring after Edvard Munch’s painting, " Love
Pain" as it embodies the same symbolism of love and pain. Love is frighteningly complex and always involves grief and pain. Bypass rings are symbolic of two individuals coming together as one. With this right-hand ring, we celebrate two of the most powerful human emotions one can experience. We celebrate the beauty of knowing that with love ultimately we will experience pain, and accepting that the pain we experience comes from a place of love. This ring joins both of these vulnerable human emotions together and unites them.
This fiery red coral represents love, and passion and has been said to promote confidence and courage. The dark black jade represents pain, and grief, and has been said to ward off negative energies. This symbolic pairing is enveloped between a total of four single-cut diamonds totaling .25cttw.
