About the Item

The Toi at Moi or You and Me setting is one of the most historic ring settings we still use today. Most popularly seen with diamonds and sapphires. This style took off around 1796, when Napolean Bonaparte gifted a ring with a similar style to his wife Josephine. The simple shanks hold two red Ruby doublets, that are nestled together with ease. A doublet, also popular in this era is a slice of a gem sandwiched between two pieces of glass allowing the gem to go further and the cost to be lower. This piece is perfect for a special someone, a July birthday or just because. (Metal has been tested in shop with Kee Gold Corp metal tester to insure authenticity) This is a lovely piece, and we are honored to offer it to our 1st Dibs family.
