Chersonesos is an ancient Greek colony founded approximately 2,500 years ago in the southwestern part of the Crimean Peninsula, from which this coin is from. This ancient piece features a lion turned and looking over his shoulder. This coin has been inspected and approved to be authentic by a professional Numismatic who specializes in ancient coinage.
