Her original inspiration was repurposing waste washed up on the shore of her Lake Geneva holiday home. Environmental responsibility, an important part of Sheila’s life since her youth in the Netherlands, resulted in her combining her art and architecture education with those ethics to create beauty from debris. Initially purely a project for personal fulfilment, Sheila allowed the collection to be exhibited at an Amsterdam gallery, resulting in critical acclaim.
