About the Item
This great-looking, comfortable and happy ring was designed by Eytan Brandes in the 1980s. Our new casting is in polished 14 karat yellow gold.
The high-elevation front is completely solid and carved right into the flat, freeform band. It feels great on the finger and carries with it a dose of much-needed optimism.
Measurements:
Ring face: 3/4" wide x 5/8" tall
Elevation (the amount by which the face of the ring rises about the finger): approx. 5.5mm
Band width: 4mm (fluctuates)
Band thickness: 1.35mm
Marks: The inside of the band is stamped "14K" and signed by Eytan Brandes
Size: Currently this ring is a 7.5; resizing is free for full-price customers and negotiable otherwise.
Weight: 10.1 grams of 14K yellow gold
The chai symbol is actually two letters from the Hebrew alphabet forming the word for "living" or "alive." While the letters have a mystical association with the number 18, and 18 has evolved into a lucky number, the chai is more than a good luck symbol. It's a message about cherishing the lives of others as you embrace your own. L'chaim!
