A stunning, fine and impressive Victorian 1.19 carat Basaltic sapphire and 1.28 carat diamond, 18 karat white gold twist ring; part of our diverse antique jewelry collections.
This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian sapphire and diamond ring has been crafted in 18k white gold.
The antique ring displays a stunning feature 0.98Ct Old European round cut diamond, eight claw set within a basket style setting.
A 1.19Ct round mixed cut blue sapphire is eight claw set within a basket style setting, diagonally opposed to the feature diamond in a twist design arrangement.
Each of the flared, twist design ring shoulders are embellished with four pavé set Old European round cut diamonds, graduating in size.
The shoulders meet the pierced decorated, rib style shank at a subtle cuff design.
This impressive antique sapphire and diamond ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18k gold.
NOTE: * The Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) lab has verbally accredited the sapphire originating in Basaltic deposits and verifies that the gemstone shows no indications of heating; non-heated sapphires are a scarcity.
The ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the feature diamond in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the feature sapphire and supporting diamonds.
Condition
This stunning antique 1890's twist ring is fine quality, set with a stunning blue sapphire displaying fine colour, brilliance and presence. The very high colour graded, very high colour graded feature diamond displaying a fine white colour, brilliance and presence. The ring is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition.
