About the Item
This enchanting Art Deco 10 karat white gold ring with rose gold appliques features a sparkling faceted 10mm x 8mm rectangular brilliant red synthetic ruby, set in four prongs, and surrounded by a halo of delightful dye-struck design. The white gold ring has a rose gold flower and leaf applique flanking each side of the center ruby. The top shoulders of the shank complete the nature motif with a dye struck flower and leaf design that mimics the rose gold applique.
The ring is a US finger size 6.5 and can be sized; however, we do not offer this service. Weighing 2.4 grams, the top measures 5/16" long and 3/8" wide, rises 3/8" off the finger, and has a shank that measures 3.32mm at the shoulders tapering to 1.85mm at the bottom.
10 Karat gold and synthetic color stones were the rage in the 1930s as it enabled people to enjoy fashionable and stylish pieces without the high cost of natural gemstones allowing everyone to experience the glamorous jewels seen on the screens of Hollywood movies.
