About the Item
This master piece is certified by 2 laboratories. This piece is carved using Hetian river pebble Jade. This archer's thumb ring is carved by the master jade carver 于士榮. It is extremely difficult to make a carving look so simple and elegant. The proportions and angles are so eye pleasing, it is out of this world. It also has superb "hand feel". Master 于士榮 is well know and famous in the carving and art community. You can google his name to see some if his works and the many international awards that he has won. (Sorry it is only in Chinese) The rarity of this is of two factors. One is finding the material to carve. Superb Hetian river material with the jade skin is of high high demand. The jade skin is the tell tell sign that it is river material. Jade material from the river is much more sought after than mountain material because over thousands of years being in the river, the jade is naturally polished and a jade skin is developed. The other factor is that it is carved by the master. It is a great piece for investors and connoisseurs looking to collect world class Jade. This will be the center piece of any Jade collection.
