This superb ring features a vibrant, high quality antique Chinese natural Apple Green center jade, beautifully set in an Arts
Crafts period substantial 14K yellow gold foliate and floral motif setting. The Apple Green color, an intense bright green, is among the most desirable varieties of jade. Jade has been cherished for thousands of years for its rich heritage, beauty, durability and symbolism. It is associated with purity of the spirit and clarity of the mind.
Setting: the elongated saddle shape of the jade has a waist feature which allows the jade gemstone to be set deep within the gold setting of the ring, while the crest of the jade appears to float seamelessly just above the gold setting. Beautiful antique patina to the gold. An interior high quality gold section has been inset into the back of the band for sizing purposes, making the ring more substantial, an attractive and seldom seen method of professional sizing.
