About the Item
This substantial silver ring holds an intaglio of a follower of the greek god Dyonisos, the god of wine dance and fertility.
The dancing little boy holds a bunch of grapes in his in his left hand, in his right raised hand he is holding a torch.
The ring was made in the last quarter of the 19th century, the intaglio might be earlier.
The ring is impressed with a French makersmark in a lozenge and a French hallmark.
