Early XX cent ring with carved band in solid 18K Yellow Gold adorned with square cut faceted Hematite stone 10mm x 8mm x 3.5mm / ca. 4 ct. What makes this stone so attractive to be used in Jewelry making? Apparently it's very high reflective index of * 2.870–2.940. which is higher than that of a Diamond * 2.418. It reflects light fiercely, under the Sun the surface of this Hematite turns into a miniature mirror. And hardness of 5.5 – 6.5 Moh scale makes it appropriate for everyday wear. No hallmarks,metal tested solid 18K Yellow Gold. Size: 7.5US / 17.75 mm. No traces of resizing. This ring may be sized for additional payment. Weight: 3 grams Used fine condition.
