About the Item
We love the classic design of our 1970's era Lapis Lazuli signet ring with its reeded gold wide band that continues all around and culminates in a pleasing rectangular shaped lapis stone with filleted corners. A single carved groove around the rectangular ring face repeats the reeding in the band.
"Reeding" refers to the renaissance era surface decoration of decorative objects which creates a play of light and adds texture to a smooth surface, as well as a sense of rhythm to the overall design.
The ring is stamped 18 for 18 carat gold, is European in origin, possibly French, with maker's mark GG. The ring is a US 9.75-10 and weighs 9 grams.
There may be some reflections on the photos caused by our light box; however the gold band has no dark spots or imperfections.
