The large, rose-cut crystal is set beneath its original hand-laid Georgian foil, a technique perfected in England between 1780 and 1820 to amplify sparkle and warmth in candlelit rooms. The gem sits proudly within a classic closed-back silver collet, swollen and domed in the unmistakable Georgian manner, and held by three sculptural shell-shaped prongs—an iconic feature of late 18th-century English paste and rock crystal jewels.
