About the Item
A lush apple-green half-cylinder of natural and untreated Burmese jadeite jade is the bright and impressive focal point of this 18K white gold circa 1990s -though never worn- jade saddle ring. The luminous stone is surrounded by numerous full-cut white diamonds that together total .19 carats. The jade is beautifully translucent and looks succulent and fresh, like some sort of exotic juicy jungle fruit. The stone measures 17.91mm x 7.3mm and is 4.83mm thick.
This saddle ring is unusual because instead of a slice of jade the stone has been carved into a tall half-cylinder form. This allows a tremendous amount of light into the stone. This light, combined with the fresh apple-green of the stone and its high translucency work together to create an impressive and beautiful ring. The jade looks bright lively outside in the direct sun. But once you step into the shadows or evening falls, the stone becomes inexplicably darker and more regal.
Originally created for a man, anyone could wear this ring. It is in brand-new condition despite the fact that was made in the 1990s. Currently a size 9 1/2, this ring could be resized by your local jeweler. The ring ships with a certificate from Stone Group Labs stating that the jade is untreated jadeite from Burma (Myanmar).
