A retro reversible sapphire signet ring 18 karat yellow gold, circa 1940. This unusual and ingeniously crafted ring comprises of a deep blue cabochon sapphire, engraved with a seal to one side with a smooth polished cabochon dome to the other. The wearer can choose to either wear the sapphire on its smooth polished dome or by using its clever integrated side release mechanism to flip over the sapphire to reveal its seal engraving.
