About the Item
Colour change sapphire ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced colour change Ceylon sapphire, blue in daylight, purple in incandescent light, with an approximate weight of 5.59 carats in an open back split claw setting, flanked by eight round old single cut diamonds in open back grain and millegrain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.16 carats, to a pierced petal motif central collet with fluted claws and intricate cheniers to the gently sloping shoulders, flowing down to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5775-1190. UK finger size M 1/2.
