About the Item
A beautifully symbolic antique ring, originally crafted as a stickpin dating to 1870–1890 and later thoughtfully transformed by our jeweler into a ring by removing the pin stem and adding a 18k gold band. The centerpiece is a finely detailed pansy motif, rendered in 18k gold and set with amethyst, sparkling rose cut diamonds, a single ruby, and subtle black enamel detailing. Pansies were deeply meaningful in Victorian jewelry, symbolizing remembrance, devotion, and enduring affection.
The combination of colored gemstones and gold creates a striking contrast, while the floral design reflects the romantic aesthetic of the late 19th century. The face of the ring measures approximately 0.5 inches in diameter and is currently a size 7 (resizable upon request for an additional charge).
The metals have been professionally evaluated using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s testing, confirming the 18k gold composition. The ring is in good condition with light surface wear.
