About the Item
Art deco natural Burmese ruby and diamond ring. Set with an octagonal double brilliant cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby to centre with an approximate weight of 2.67 carats in an open back double corner claw setting, flanked by six square French cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.30 carats, to a stepped tapered form with a structured openwork gallery, intricate backholing and linear piercing to the central collet, flanked by elegant gently sloping inward tapered shoulders to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1935, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5774-507. UK finger size L 1/2.
