About the Item
Eytan Brandes designed this ring based on a popular 1970s sterling silver ring. Instead of a center gemstone, the silver ring had a weird, elevated and textured center, which Eytan ardently disliked, but he loved the outer structure as a way of bracketing a long colored gemstone, specifically a gorgeous green tourmaline.
The tourmaline is a beautiful stone, cut by our good friend Dan Lynch in Tennessee in a simple, long, modified emerald cut. As you can see in the photos, the stone looks blue or green, depending on prevailing light. It's set in a white gold bezel.
The ring is high-polish 14 karat yellow gold, tapering dramatically (and comfortably) toward the back.
