About the Item
Marquise diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a marquise shape transitional cut diamond, F colour, VS2 clarity, with a weight of 1.74 carats, in an open back claw setting, flanked by two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back claw and rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.94 carats, to an impressive flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, a structural pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid shank. Tested platinum, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #6227798287.
