About the Item
Old cut diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set centrally with a round old cut diamond, I colour, SI1 clarity, with a weight of 2.20 carats in an open back claw setting, further set with eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.28 carats, to an elegant solitaire design featuring curving claws, a finely pierced gallery and circular backholing, the gently inwardly tapering shoulders with chenier details flow through to a solid shank. Tested platinum, circa 1915, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2233780076.
