About the Item
Here we have a marvellous single stone ruby ring excellently paying homage a style pioneered during the Renaissance period. This piece has been crafted from 18ct yellow gold with the head being bezel set with a single elongated cushion cut ruby. This natural stone is of Burmese origin and showcases an enchanting red colour with pinky undertone. Expert workmanship accompanies this fine stone with the shoulders showcasing highly detailed figures holding the stone aloft with matching angelic profiles below and at either side of the under-gallery. The ring is then made complete with an otherwise plain polished shank.
This ring was skilfully accomplished by master antique jewellery re-designer and restorer, Gaetano Chiavetta.
