About the Item
Vintage yellow Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with an oval old cut natural unenhanced yellow Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 6.03 carats, flanked by six marquise shape brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.72 carats, to an impressive flanked solitaire featuring curving claws, polished edging, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, the tapering shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, numbered '206', circa 1960, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80268-38.
