Antique Edwardian 18K Yellow Gold Opal and Diamond 7 Stone Ring

An antique opal, diamond, and yellow gold ring, comprising one round cabochon opal, two oval cabochon opals, and four old cut diamonds, in 18 karat yellow gold. My favourite thing about this Antique 18K Yellow Gold Opal and Diamond Ring, is the pastel play of colour in the opals. What’s yours? Perhaps the sparkling diamonds? Or the elegant gallery? This Edwardian ring is set to the centre with a large, round cabochon opal. The opal exhibits a pastel hued play of colour, with blues, greens, oranges and yellows. The central opal is flanked by 2 pairs of old cut diamonds. The diamonds are perfectly chunky, and are bright, white, sparkly and well-matched with one another. The ring is complete with a pair of oval opal cabochons, which are well-matched with the central opal. The stones are raised on an elegantly carved gallery, quite unusual in shape, reminding me somewhat of Poseidon’s trident...
