About the Item
A Belle Époque natural pearl and diamond ring, the vertically set three stone pearl, accompanied by a Gem and Pearl Laboratory certificate stating the 1.95 carats pearl to be a natural saltwater, and two old brilliant-cut diamonds either side estimated to weigh a total of 1.5 carats to a millegrain setting in a platinum pierced Hellenic pattern diamond-set mount, estimated to weigh a further total of 0.8 carats, circa 1900, the head measuring approximately 1.9x1.8cm, gross weight 6.5 grams. Finger size M
This ring is in very good condition. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold and platinum.
This gorgeous turn-of-the-century diamond and pearl ring comes from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. It features a diamond set plaque with a lovely and lustrous pearl in the centre and two bright and scintillating diamonds above and below the pearl. The ring plaque is made from openwork platinum, which is elegant and detailed. This ring exemplifies the toned back, monochromatic styles of the Belle Epoque and Edwardian era, which moved away from Victorian opulence for a more streamlined look.
