About the Item

Mid-Century Emerald and Diamond Three-Stone Ring in Platinum, Portuguese, circa 1950s–1960s. Crafted in mid-20th century Lisbon, this jewel is centered on a captivating old mine-cut diamond—its softly domed facets radiating a warm, candlelit fire. Flanking it are two richly saturated cabochon emeralds, their domed forms glowing with natural inclusions that speak to their origin and character. The vivid green hue of the emeralds forms a dramatic contrast to the diamond’s icy brilliance. The pierced gallery is diamond-set with rose-cut diamonds and embellished with millegrain detailing. A jewel to mark a milestone, or to wear simply for the joy of it. DETAILS: • Lisbon (Portugal) hallmarks for platinum and gem-set jewelry; maker’s mark • Finger size: EU 51.5 (resizable) • Weight: 7.5g ••• NOTES All items are presented in very good condition, with surface wear and age-related marks consistent with their antique or vintage nature. Leitão Irmão Mid-Century Emerald Diamond Cocktail Ring Platinum 1950s-1960s
Located in Lisbon, PT
Leitão & Irmão Mid-Century Emerald and Diamond Platinum Cocktail Ring, Portugal, 1950s–1960s, in Original Case. A striking mid-century cocktail ring by Leitão & Irmão, the historic Portuguese jeweller to the Royal House, masterfully blending vivid emeralds with a scintillating diamond ensemble. The design centres on a round brilliant-cut diamond with approximately 1.20 carats, framed by a pair of square emerald-cut emeralds of deep, saturated green, weighing an estimated 2.00 carats in total. The trio is encircled by a dynamic halo of twenty marquise brilliant-cut diamonds, together weighing around 2.40 carats, their precise arrangement radiating brilliance from every angle. Exquisitely crafted in platinum and bearing the Lisbon hallmark (1938–1984) for platinum 500, as well as the maker’s mark for Leitão & Irmão, this jewel embodies the refined glamour of the 1950s–60s era — a time when bold form met impeccable craftsmanship. Presented in its original red leather fitted case, stamped “Leitão & Irmão, Antigos Joalheiros da Coroa, Lisboa”, this piece is a rare survivor of Portugal’s mid...
