Georgian Style Cushion Cut Diamond Wedding Band with Original Georgian Diamonds

About the Item

This is one of two beautiful Georgian style diamond bands I've created using Georgian period old mine cut/peruzzi cut diamonds from a damaged antique French brooch. (a solitaire ring that looks amazing paired with this band is also available, and two pairs of earrings are in the works) The cut down silver collets are also original to the antique diamonds, though we have removed the closed backings of the settings, making it easy to keep the diamonds clean and no concern if the diamonds get wet - much more practical. (please note that the final of the hand shots shows the Georgian Solitaire ring with the band, but they are listed separately.) Four extremely fiery cushion cut diamonds in sterling silver collet settings sit side by side across the face of the 18K yellow gold ring, with lovely hand engraving adorning each shoulder. We have patinated the silver settings as it creates such wonderful contrast with the diamonds, adding to the elegant slightly rustic feel of the piece. These are super chunky beautiful old cushion cuts with great color and internal clarity - with all the amazing brilliance and fire that I look for in antique diamonds. Estimated to be approximately .14 to .16 carats each, the total estimated carat weight would be approximately .56 to .64 carats. Beautifully clean even under magnification, the diamonds at either end show no wear from age. The two diamonds in the center each have a chip on their crowns, which is not easy to see with the naked eye, though they still have great internal clarity. The chips do not interfere with their brilliance and are part of diamond's history. Each foliate engraved patinaed shoulder gradually tapers from approximately 6.9 mm to the narrowest part of the band - the very back - which is approximately 1.81 mm. Nice and substantial, the band has a classic polished finish, allowing custom sizing, as needed. Inside, the ring is hallmarked for 18K gold and sterling silver. On my scale, the ring has a nice weight of 4.85 grams. Currently a size 7, the ring may be sized up or down within reason.
