About the Item

A fine American Modernist diminutive pitcher or ewer. In sterling silver. By Alfredo Sciarotta. With an elegant, elongated spout and neck, riveted twist handle, and spherical body supported by a thick-gauged circular foot. Handmade in Sciarrotta's silver shop, this ewer is a rare hollowware example. Simply a fine example of American craft silver from one of the 20th Century's leading silversmiths! Date: Mid-20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are a few light dents to the body (around the circumference of the belly) and some apparent fire-scale visible on the surface. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some light dings and indentations here and there, some fine and light surface scratches, and other signs of light wear consistent with age.
