A fine antique Georgian wine funnel strainer. In sterling silver. By Charles Price. Having a conforming strainer insert with a pierced base, gadrooned edge, and a scrollwork decanter clip. The hammered body with a reinforced neck and a curved spout. Marked to both the strainer and insert. Monogramed to the front. Simply a wonderful period wine funnel! Date: 1820 Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are a few light bends, some light edge wear, some light dings and indentations here and there, some fine and light surface scuffs and scratches, and other signs of light wear consistent with age. Maker: Charles Price Marks: Marked C pellet P for Charles Price / London / Sterling / 1820 Fineness: Marked Sterling for silver fineness. Measurements: Length: ca. 6 in.
