About the Item
A fine antique Georgian English silver plated wine coaster.
By Matthew Boulton.
The insert in the middle is decorated with a two-headed bird and monogrammed "JMA".
Marked with 2 paneled sun marks to the foot rim for Matthew Boulton.
In 1762, Matthew Boulton established a factory in Birmingham to create silver-plated Sheffield items and became the first large producer of Sheffield plate in England.

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
The silver circle in the middle is loose and can be removed, there are some small cracks to the wood on both sides of the base, and some losses to the felt pad on the base. Otherwise, there are some fine
light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
