About the Item

A rare pair of Victorian Neoclassical Revival silver plated candelabra by Elkington Co. Each candelabrum has a fluted column that rests on three paw feet that also support anthemion aprons. The feet are bolted to a stepped base. The central candleholder is integral and the remaining four candleholders are each supported on detachable arms. Each arm is numbered with either an Arabic number or a strike mark corresponding to a square opening. Each arm has an attached dependent chain that appears to be original. Simply a boldly striking pair of candelabra from Elkington! Date: Late 19th Century Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition There are a few light dings and scratches here and there, along with with some very fine light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
