About the Item

Antique Russian Basket in solid 84 Silver in Empire style, fire-gilt with cast decorations, in perfect condition after 185 years of existence Measures: 13 cm long x 10 cm wide x 14.5 cm high with handle upright , 7cm x 6 cm at base level. Weight: 140 grams. Period : Reign of Russian Emperor Nicholas I ( 1825 – 1855). Hallmarked with a full set of period Russian hallmarks: hand-made and assayed in 1840 in the city of Moscow. Maker's hallmarks not clear. Control hallmarks НЛ / Дубровин Николай Лукич/ Dubrovin Nikolay Luckich, assayer in Moscow between 1822- 1855. The same hallmarks can be found on the handle, bowl, and stand parts. Excellent condition,minor scratches only ,no repairs. Fire - Gilt interior still in fine shape. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post.
