A rare German masterpiece by a renowned silversmith
This is a remarkably fine silver tea caddy, crafted by the esteemed German silversmith Simon Rosenau, who was active in Bad Kissingen from the late 19th to the early 20th century. The piece is made of 800-grade silver and bears the official German crescent moon and crown hallmarks, as well as Rosenau’s maker’s mark “SR” beneath a crown.
Designed in a rich baroque style, the caddy is highly decorative and typical of Rosenau’s craftsmanship and his connections to the Hanau silversmiths, known for their historicist creations. This is both a functional and visually striking collector’s item, suitable for display or use.

Seltenes Meisterstück eines renommierten deutschen Silberschmieds
Zum Verkauf steht eine außergewöhnlich fein gearbeitete Silber-Teedose, hergestellt vom bekannten deutschen Silberschmied Simon Rosenau, der in Bad Kissingen vom späten 19. bis frühen 20. Jahrhundert tätig war. Die Dose besteht aus 800er Silber und trägt die offiziellen deutschen Halbmond- und Kronenpunzen sowie das Herstellerzeichen „SR“ unter einer Krone.
